Neighbourhood beat manager Pc Roy Hutter said that the one case of arson was due to somebody setting fire to a wheelie bin in Queen Street.
He did not attend the monthly council meeting, but left the details with councillors.
There was also four incidents of criminal damage, three assaults occasioning actual bodily harm, two common assaults, one burglary and four thefts.
Pc Hutter said one burglary was from a beach hut on the sea front and that the common assaults were domestic related.
