Arson suspected after van blaze

Axminster firefighters find vehicle well alight at Raymonds Hill

A blaze which severely damaged a van at Raymond’s Hill on Wednesday evening (December 16) is believed to have been started deliberately.

The town’s firefighters were called to the scene at around 6.20pm and found the vehicle well alight. Crews used two hose reel jets whilst wearing breathing apparatus sets to extinguish the flames.

The van was 50 per cent damaged by fire.
