17-year-old banned from areas of Honiton.

Police in Honiton have been successful in securing an interim anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) for a Honiton teenager.

Freddy Jones, 17, of Northcote Lane, was given the order by North and East Devon Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.

He is prohibited from entering Allhallows playing field and School Lane and from drinking or being in possession of alcohol in an open container bottle can or drinking vessel in any public place except for licensed premises.

He must not use or encourage others to use foul, abusive, insulting, offensive, threatening or intimidating language or behaviour in any public place or associate with four named individuals.

Jones is prohibited from congregating in a group of three or more people in any public place which causes or is likely to cause any person to fear for their own safety.

A hearing to impose a full ASBO will take place on September 13.
