The Charter Day Band Concert was once again held at Honiton’s Millennium Green - and has now become an annual event raising funds for its maintenance and upkeep.

More than 250 people were present maintaining the increase in attendance every year. The Honiton Town Band played a variety of pieces which the audience thoroughly enjoyed. Honiton’s town crier, Dave Retter, collected money for the draw which was by far the best ever, raising more than £350.

The prize of more than £100 was received by the lucky winner who generously gave a large part of his winnings back as a donation towards the upkeep. The trustee’s would like to thank Honiton Tesco for supplying a hamper for the draw and food for the buffet, Northcotts Cider for suitable refreshment, the town band for playing with gusto, and all the volunteers for making the evening such a success.
