Awards for selfless men

RETAINED fireman Richard Stanbury, 47, and former retainer fireman Kevin Lovering, 49, have received Long Service Good Conduct medals.

RETAINED fireman Richard Stanbury, 47, and former retainer fireman Kevin Lovering, 49, have received Long Service Good Conduct medals. The men have each given 20 years of voluntary service to the community through their work with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, although Mr Lovering has now retired. The medals were awarded by Chief Fire Officer Paul Young and the Deputy Lieutenant for Devon, R P Barlow, during a ceremony, held on Monday night at Somerset House.
