Marathon paddlers present £1,000 to the Devon Air Ambulance

A MARATHON canoe trip is helping keep medics in the air.

Two members of the Axe vale Canoe Club raised £1,000 for the Devon Air Ambulance when they took part in the gruelling Devizes to Westminster non-stop race earlier this year.

A support team of six provided back for Tash Kahn-Davies and Ben Sheddon during on their 125 mile trip.

Last week the club handed over a cheque to Bill Price, a Trustee of Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

A further £1,000 raised through sponsorship for the marathon race will go towards improvements at the canoe club.
