AXMINSTER Art Society met in Musbury Village Hall for a demonstration on 'putting people into pictures in water-colour'.
Artist Marilyn Allis gave the lecture to over 40 members and visitors.
Among her tips, she recommended using a pencil drawing of people and studying it for a few days before painting it.
The group's next meeting will be on February 17, with Graham Cox demonstrating 'moody views in pastel'. All are welcome and admission is 4 for visitors. For further information contact Pauline Allen on (01297) 32516.
