Judges at Axminster Carnival have revealed the results from the event.
There were more than 40 entries in this year’s procession, which wound its way through the town’s streets on Saturday, September 15.
The were as follows:
Fancy dress individual junior (Les and Sue Mays Cup): 1 Little Chief, K Newbery; 2 How to Tame Your Dragon, H Baxter.
Fancy dress individual adult (Sheppard Challenge Cup): 1 One Day in Summer, Spirit CC; 2 Truly Scrumptious, E Miller; 3 Mickey Mouse, P Hutter; 4 Tickle Your Fancy Nancy, N Quick.
Fancy dress pairs (George House Cup): 1 Mardi Gras, Tizzy’s CC.
Decorated hand cart (Axminster Young Farmers Cup): 1 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Bubbles CC; 2 Mucky Milkmaids, P Armour CC; 3 Batman Characters, Lugg’s CC; 4 Little Mermaid, Ridgeway Inn.
Walking group (The Mayor’s Trophy); 1 Diwali – Festival of Light, Zem CC; 2 Sister Kelly’s Choir, K Leigh School; 3 Made in Dagenham, Axminster Musical Theatre; 4 Way Out West, Fantasy CC.
