AXMINSTER Carnival Committee has split £1,650 between various local organisations.

AXMINSTER Carnival Committee has split £1,650 between various local organisations.

Mayor Ron Jones attended the presentation, with donations made to the following groups: Axe Valley Charabanc, Guildhall, Axminster United Charities, Tourist Information Centre, Cubs and Scouts, ARC Bereavement Counselling, St John's Badgers, Guides, Devon Air Ambulance, Karizma Majorettes, Rainbow play group, Rotary Club, Dorset Youth Marching Band.

He said: "It was a good evening and very well attended. I think the organisations were all very pleased with the donations that they received.
