Pet’s injuries were so bad she now has to be fed through a tube in her neck
An Axminster woman has spoken of her shock and anger after her cat was attacked and left seriously injured.
Lynne Waldron says vets are certain that her much loved pet was deliberately kicked in the head – shattering her eye socket and rupturing her upper pallet.
The 10-year-old animal spent four days in the undergrowth near her home at Foxhill before she was found.
The damage to her face was so bad she was almost unrecognisable.
Now she has to be fed through a tube in her neck because of the injury to her mouth.
Mrs Waldron said: “It is just wicked – I want people to be know what someone has done. She is only a tiny cat – just three kilos – but it took some big bully to kick her like that.”
Mrs Waldron praised the excellent team at Coombefield Veterinary Hospital for treating Stitches and said the outlook was hopeful.
She said they were sure her cat was deliberately kicked as the injuries are not consistent with being hit by a car.
