Chairman Shane Morgan was delighted to greet the Honiton traders’ group president Colin Wright and chairman Tony McCollum.

The latter said how much they had enjoyed having the opportunity of visiting the museum and establishing a connection with a neighbouring chamber of commerce that could be built on.

Axminster chamber members were joined by their president John Jeffery along with the guest speaker Stuart Carrington, of Thomas Westcott Accountants.

He gave an interesting talk on the new pension arrangements coming into effect and afterwards representatives of local businesses asked questions.

Mr Morgan said: “This has been a very enjoyable evening and the chamber is pleased to have

made a donation to the Heritage Centre

for the privilege of holding our meeting here tonight.”
