Jeremy Walden thanks colleagues for their trust after taking over as First Citizen
Axminster businessman Jeremy Walden spoke of his honour to serve “a lovely town” after being elected mayor on Monday.
He took over from Cllr Andrew Moulding who was praised for his work as First Citizen for the past two years.
Succeeding Cllr Walden as deputy mayor is “father of the council” Douglas Hull who revealed he was beginning his 50th consecutive year as a local councillor.
