An Axminster family has raised more than £800 for cancer charities by completing the Virtual MoonWalk.
Lin Coley, 50, and her daughters, Harriet, 18 and Evie, 15, walked more than 26 miles for Walk the Walk, on Saturday, May 15.
The event normally take place in London, but arranged for it to take place in a virtual way, with participants choosing their own routes, as a result of the pandemic.
The Coley family opted to walk the Chard to Ilminster footpath, which follows the line of the old railway and made the return journey to Ilminster three times, enabling them to reach their target of 26.2 miles.
Speaking afterwards, Mrs Coley said: “We walked in a mixture of sunshine and very heavy showers, so we were very happy to finish the walk, which we found very challenging.
“We were delighted to raise more than £800 for Walk the Walk, with the money going to various cancer charities.”
