Crew cleans up washing cars for its charity

Firefighters at Axminster were out with their buckets of water on Saturday (March 11).

They weren’t tackling any blazes – just offering to wash people’s cars to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The crew was outside Axminster Tesco store from 10am and 4pm, doing brisk business.

Lee Howell, Chief Fire Officer for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Donations will go towards helping thousands of men, women and children from the fire and rescue community during their times of need.”
