It was festive fun all the way at a recent flower arranging workshop at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall.

Amongst the participants were ladies from Axminster keen to learn how to impress their guests by making a luxury festive centrepiece for their Christmas dining tables.

Using candles, seasonal foliage and flowers they watched their tutor Jackie Nicholls give a step-by-step demonstration.

Axminster’s Pat Steele said: “I have 13 guests coming, so I wanted to make sure I had a really lovely design for my table. This was the first time I’d been to one of Jackie’s workshops. It was great fun, very friendly and Jackie was always there to help. I was absolutely delighted with what I made.”

Jackie, award winning-tutor from Ashville Design who runs the workshops said: “I’m sure Pat’s guests will be very impressed with her arrangement, it’s so beautiful. Well done to everyone who came along. All your creations were fabulous - I’m very proud of you all.”
