Axminster: Flower festival in aid of church roof fund

A flower festival will be held in Axminster, to raise money for the church roof.

A flower festival will be held in Axminster, to raise money for the church roof. The festival, which takes place at the Minster, will open on Friday, August 28, and run until Tuesday, September 1.

A variety of arts and crafts will be on display, with a unique flower arrangement beside each table. Flowers will also be arranged on the windows and pillars of the church.

The event can be previewed on Friday night, accompanied by wine and nibbles. A concert by Mike Collins, who has a longstanding connection with the town, will be held on the Saturday night.

Tickets to both the concert and festival are £5, and can be purchased from the Archway Book Shop.
