Axminster Community Hospital has been temporarily closed this morning (Monday) due to a burst water main pipe in the cellar.

As a result, services at the hospital have been temporarily suspended.
Staff from the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust have been working on site this morning to resolve the situation, with support from Northern Devon Healthcare Trust and other partner agencies.
Crew members from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have also been in attendance to assist with pumping out the water.
A spokesman for Axminster Hospital said: “Many outpatients clinics have already been rearranged at neighbouring community hospitals today however some appointments have regrettably been cancelled this week.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to patients during this time.
“If you have an appointment at Axminster Hospital this week you will be contacted by a member of staff to rearrange your appointment as soon as possible.”
