Axminster hospital staff dressed as nurses, patients and builders to celebrate the opening of their new building next month.

Axminster hospital staff dressed as nurses, patients and builders to celebrate the opening of their new building next month.

Deputy matron Elaine Maxwell said the new hospital was thanks to £2 million raised by the League of Friends, with the carpet donated by Axminster Carpets. The hospital had been closed for about two years.

She said: "The theme is all hospital-based. I'm a patient, clearly, and we have got nurses , and a builder to represent Spillers builders.
