An Axminster IT manager is planning a 100-mile cycle ride to help fellow asthma sufferers.

Damion Norcombe, 35, who works at Axminster Tools and Machinery, is taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 on Sunday, July 31.

He has taken on the challenge for Asthma UK because, throughout his childhood, he suffered from the condition, experiencing many attacks, some of which resulted in emergency hospitalisation.

Damion hopes that his contribution will, in a small way, help improve awareness and continue the great work that Asthma UK does. He hopes to raise more than £500.

Damion will be joining a team of 151 riders cycling for Asthma UK. To sponsor him, visit
