AN AXMINSTER woman celebrated her 104th birthday in spite of a fall on Christmas Day.
Kitty Bell marked the momentous occasion in hospital with staff and her daughter, Joan-Lesley Casban, on Thursday, January 14.
Kitty has lived through two world wars and has memories of seeing the first Zeppelin air craft land in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
Joan, 71, said her mother had been living with her in Sector Lane for the last 20 years.
She said: "She is getting better after the fall and the hospital staff have been absolutely fantastic.
"She's had flowers and a load of cards, and everybody has remembered.
