Surprise Olympic ticket prize after supermarket shop.

TWO Axminster mums are heading for the Olympics – after winning tickets to the Games for their families.

Unknown to them, Millie Gigg and Nicola Wills were automatically entered into a prize draw when they bought cleaning products from their local Tesco.

Since February 2012 P&G, a proud sponsor of The Olympic Games, has been running the competition for shoppers.

Simply by purchasing one of the firm’s participating brands and swiping their clubcard, customers have been automatically entered into a competition to win much coveted tickets to The Games.

P&G is giving 90 per cent of its corporate ticket allowance to UK families. Nathan Homer, project leader said: “It’s been a delightful week for P&G delivering hundreds of Olympic Games tickets to mums like Millie and Nicola. We know the hard work mums put into running a family and the sentiment behind the sponsorship is to thank them for everything they do. We hope they all have a fantastic time at London 2012.”

More local people are still in with a chance of joining Millie and Nicola and their families at The Olympic Games. Up until August 8 more tickets can be won through a text-to-win entry mechanic that could see shoppers become the lucky winners of VIP tickets to the opening or closing ceremony – all with travel and four-star accommodation – plus a further 50 pairs of regular tickets.
