Axminster museum opens for exhibition
AXMINSTER Town Museum will be staging an exhibition this summer in Thomas Whitty House.
AXMINSTER Town Museum will be staging an exhibition this summer in Thomas Whitty House.
The museum, currently based in the Old Courthouse, has been closed for more than a year due to serious restoration work.
But the 'Old Axminster' event will take place at the site in Silver Street. There will be a display of varied artefacts, prints and pictures,l giving an insight into the rich rural, agricultural and industrial heritage of the town.
The re-opening and coffee morning will take place on Thursday, May 27,from 10-00am onwards.
* The opening times for the new season are, from May to 30th September;
Tuesday to Friday, 11.00am til 4.00pm;

N.B. THE MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN AT 10.00AM ON THURSDAY 27TH MAY.
