The ‘Nutty Nats’ raise more than £1,130 for the Devon Freewheelers

Two Axminster women – the ‘Nutty Nats’ – have raised £1,136 for charity after pulling on their walking boots.

Friends Natalie King and Nat Wakelin completed the 100km South Coast Challenge from Eastbourne to Arundel in aid of the Devon Freewheelers.

It was tough going, with soaring temperatures and difficult terrain but the pair completed the course in 24hrs 30mins - exhausted and with sore feet!

They thanked Otter Windows for it sponsorship, friends and family, people of Axminster and the residents and their families of Minster Court where Natalie is the development manager.

She added: “We chose the Devon Freewheelers as a local important charity.

Nat’s husband volunteers and maintains their bikes - so the charity is important to them as a family.”
