There was a new look to Axminster Community Primary Academy’s annual sports day this year.

Teams competed with new names, chosen by the pupils, and the programme of events was changed to encourage more non-stop action.

Headteacher Ross Minton said: “Friendship, co-operation and good sportsmanship joined together to create one amazing afternoon.

“At the start of the event, the children formed groups depending on their colour
teams: red (Pandas), yellow (Wolves), green (Tigers)
and blue (Leopards), before participating in numerous sporting events at different stations.

“It was high-octane action and the winners were the Tigers.

“The level of sportsmanship and kindness shown on the day was exceptional.

“Well done to everyone.

“This is an excellent day for everyone and we are all
grateful for the superb attendance from the community!”
