Axminster pupils swap uniforms for pyjamas

Primary school youngsters celerbate World Book Day with some “bedtime” reading

IT was only mid- morning but pupils at Axminster Community Primary School changed into their pyjamas for a little “bedtime” reading today.

They swapped their uniforms for night attire to join in a global celebration of the written word.

The youngsters were taking part in one of thousands of World Bok Day events being staged to highlight the joys of reading.

They took along their best -loved books – and cuddly toys – to read extracts from their favourite stories to their classmates.
