Firefighters turn out at 11.39pm to deal with accident.

CHILDREN, accidentally locked in a house at Heals Field, Axminster, late last night (Christmas Day) were rescued by local firefighters.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says it received a call requesting assistance at 11.39pm.

One fire appliance from the town attended, with Commander Turner in charge.

Mr Turner’s crew liaised with the parents and gained access into the property via a window using small tools and a short extension ladder.
