AXMINSTER Primary School will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the move to its present site in January.
AXMINSTER Primary School will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the move to its present site in January.
To mark the occasion, organisers are planning a week of activities for the children to learn about the 1960s and are appealing for any memorabilia from the period.
There will also be a party tea, recreating a traditional street party for the pupils, with organisers hoping to get the whole school sat down at the same time.
To achieve this, they need a good supply of benches to get everyone in and are appealing for anyone who has a supply, or knows the contact details for a hall that has some, to get in touch.
Anyone who can help with either appeal is asked to call Lin Coley on (01297) 32056.
To read more about when the school moved, buy the latest edition of East Devon Views at branches of Tesco, the Co-op and Budgens, as well as Honiton TIC, Axminster post office and Steve's Print and Design, Seaton, and other outlets.
