A 14-year-old Axminster girl was taken hospital after suffering the effects of alcohol.

Police said the incident took place in the town at around 9pm, Saturday, October 31.

Neighbourhood beat manager Pc Darren Herridge said: "This just highlights the dangers of under age drinking. The girl concerned did not consume a large amount of alcohol from what we understand, but it's had a really bad effect on her health.

"She was open to all sorts of dangers being in that state.
