23 year old driver treated for an injured ear after car collides with telegraph pole

The A358 between Axminster and Musbury was closed last night (Monday, January 26) after a car collided with a telegraph pole.

Police and ambulance were called to the single-vehicle accident at 10.10pm.

The VW Polo was in collision with a telegraph pole and ended up on its roof.

The driver, a man, aged 23, from Colyton, was treated by ambulance for a cut ear. He was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to be checked over.

The telegraph pole was snapped and had to be made safe.

The road was closed in both directions from Musbury to Abbey Gates to enable BT to get this work done.

The road was due to reopen this morning.
