Second prize ticket in regional draw was bought at Axminster Heritage Centre

A lucky Axminster woman has scooped £500 in the South East Devon Charity Raffle organised by local Rotarians.

Angela Holland collected her second prize cheque from Axminster Rotary Club president John Foulkes and Diana Church, of Axminster Heritage Centre from she purchased her winning ticket.

The Rotary clubs print the tickets for participating organisations and administer the draw.

Ten percent of the proceeds are used to fund the pool of prizes. Other costs are met by Rotary which makes no profit.

Over the past ten years a quarter-of-a-million pounds has been made available to local clubs and charities.
