Young farmers aid local charities
AXMINSTER Young Farmers Club has been giving away its money to help worthy causes.
Two charities have received cheques from the group.
The first was Cancer Research UK who were presented with �725. which members raised on the draw at their annual ball in July.
The second was Children’s Hospice Care for which the club raised �525 at their skittles evening at the Tuckers Arms, Dalwood and a bingo evening at Cloakham Lawns. Up-coming YFC events include a Christmas quiz at Cloakham Lawns on December 15 and the annual Boxing Day Dip, on Monday December 27. Money raised from this will go to the Devon Air Ambulance.
