AN AXMINSTER youth has admitted carrying out a spate of burglaries in the town.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, burgled several properties between May 25 and June 1.
He was accused with co-defendant Michael Peter Taylor, 19, for a break-in at Cloakham Lawns Sports Centre, with intent to steal, and a burgly at a house in North Street - stealing goods to the value of £441.
He was also charged with a burglary at Bolts Hair Design, stealing £50 in cash; stealing food items from the United Reformed Church; and entering as a trespessar with the intent to steal at Karen’s Hair Fashions.
He pleaded guilty to all five charges, which Central Devon Magistrates’ Youth Court gave him credit for when sentencing.
