Arranger demonstrates her skills with five very different floral creations

A demonstration of festive floral creations entertained the Axminster Flower Club in late November.

Jenny Chance put together five very different arrangements which club secretary Jackie Dadds described as “stunning”.

The first was a pink and silver creation. An open picnic basket, which had been sprayed silver, was filled with pink roses, carnations and gerberas and completed with some tinsel of a darker hue.

The next was a total contrast, with foliage and lime green flowers. The flowers included anthurium and carnations and, with some green shiny baubles, the arrangement stood proud on a tall clear vase filled with lime green sisal.

A beautiful autumn arrangement reflected the present season, and this was followed by a white arrangement set on a pedestal. Lilies were the dominant flower, with white gerberas, spray carnations, and orchids as the final glamorous touch.

The final arrangement was developed around a tall vase and a candelabra with three red candles. Traditional silver foliage was used here with a selection of dark red flowers.
