A FORMER Kilmington man has been ordered not to leave Torquay after he breached his bail conditions.

A FORMER Kilmington man has been ordered not to leave Torquay after he breached his bail conditions.

Jeffrey Bernard Ryan, 49, appeared before Central Devon Magistrates' Court because he had been living in Torquay despite an earlier ban from re-entering the county.

The court heard last month that he would live in Wirral, Merseyside, following allegations of an affray on Tuesday, August 25.

But his bail conditions were changed this week after the court heard he attended a 'dry house' in the town.

Ryan's new bail conditions state he should reside in Windsor Road, Torquay, and not leave the town unless he has a pre-arranged meeting with a legal advisor or court appearance.

He was also ordered not to contact the alleged victim and her son. A curfew was imposed from 10pm to 6am every day.

He has been committed to Crown Court for trial next month.
