Do we really need to be up in arms about the overnight closure of the Minor Injuries Unit at Honiton? It does not seem to be an effective use of the primary care trust's resources to keep it open overnight. If an injury is minor then it should be able to wait until the morning. If it can't wait until the morning, then almost by definition, it is not a minor injury and should be treated at an accident and emergency department. We are very lucky to have a minor injuries unit.
