Beach bonanza fundraising at Honiton Tesco

The two-day spectacle helped raise money for Tesco’s chosen charities - Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.
Staff at Honiton Tesco took out their buckets, spades and inflatables for a beach-themed fundraising weekend.

Throughout the course of the fundraiser, customers donated generously for the two charities.
Louisa Littlewood, Honiton Tesco’s community champion, said: “Across the company, every store is doing a beach bonanza to raise money for these charities.

The fun included games, including a gold-digging session and prize duck fishing.

There was also a selection of fresh fruit and juice tasters.
Louisa will be visiting Honiton Memory Café tomorrow (Thursday, June 18) to supply raffle prizes and support the organisation with refreshments for its weekly meeting.
“It’s a rewarding thing for me to do,” she added. “I think they are doing so much behind the scenes; people need to know a bit more about what they do.”
