A section of Charmouth beach was cordoned off yesterday (Thursday) after a fears of another major cliff fall.

Lyme Regis Coastguard rescue officers were called to the scene at around 2.30pm.

With caution, they roped off the area below the cliff and also unsafe areas at the top of the cliff.

Warning signs were displayed and the emergency planning officer for West Dorset District Council was informed to take further action if required.
