A SEATON couple who owned a popular guest house in the town have sold up and said goodbye.
Richard and Hilary Bennett, of Beach End, in Trevelyan Road, have decided to retire due to health reasons.
The couple, who moved into Beach End six years ago, moved out of the property earlier this month.
Hilary said: "Due to health reasons we've sadly had to give up. We have fond memories and we will miss it and all our local contacts here.
"We want to thank everybody who's given us support - recommending relatives stay here, etc. We are sure they will carry on their support with other bed and breakfasts in Seaton."
The couple will continue to live in the Axe Valley area. Richard will work part time as a tree surgeon.
Beach End will be a private residence and no longer a bed and breakfast.
