The sign for Honiton on the way in from Monkton is a disgrace - it is set back in a field and is filthy.
I worked for over two years at Pughs Antiques in Monkton. If we did not have a particular item we used to suggest that people tried one of the antique shops in town.
Most people would ask "What town?" Many had no idea that Honiton existed, let alone had a good amount of antique shops. Honiton needs good signage from both ends of the bypass, otherwise people will do just that - pass it by!
