Great response to Seaton Library Friends’ summer competition
The winners of a summer photographic competition organised by The Friends of Seaton Library (FOSL) have been announced.
The theme of the contest was ‘Active East Devon’ and entrants were invited to submit shots on a variety of subjects including sports, leisure, animals and bird life.
A spokeswoman for FOSL said: “‘We had a great response and really enjoyed looking at all the photographs, the subjects chosen by participants were varied and so interesting to view.”
The winning entries were:
Adults:
Winner Heather Stringer (Messing about on the River), 2 Sarah Gill (Colyton Duck), 3 Angelina Linford (A Bird in the Hand).
Children:
Winner Kyran Paynter (River Otter, with house in background), 2 Perran Ellynn (Common Blue Butterfly), 3 Ethan Paynter (River Otter).
Prizes will be awarded on Saturday, October 20, during Seaton Library’s regular ‘Elevenses’ 10.30am to 11.30am, where visitors can chat and enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits.
Awards will be presented by the co-owners of Seaton’s Savooni Art Space Gallery, Beer Road.
