The Axemen plan their first two-day event at Whitchurch Canonicorum

A group of fund-raising motorcycle enthusiasts from Axminster are gearing up to present their first music and bike show.

The Axemen Club will stage its two-day event at The Five Bells Inn, Whitchurch Canonicorum, starting on Friday, June 29.

A warm-up night, from 8pm, will include the band Snatch Tractor and a rock disco.

The bike show, the following day, will feature seven live bands - Wise Intentions, Indynamics, Chasing Cadence, Bare Bones, Last Man in Europe, Adam Sweet, and Reckless Princess and Band.

Saturday will also include a hog roast, barbecue, bouncy castle, camp fire and pub breakfasts.

Admission is by donation and camping is available for Friday and Saturday nights at £2 per person per night, with families and dogs on leads welcome.

A donation from any profit will be made to The Freewheelers, the NHS approved out of hour’s emergency response motorcycle courier service.
