THERE was a full house in St Andrew's Community Hall, Charmouth, for a fundraising Easter bingo last Friday. The event, organised by the hall's managing committee, is one of many taking place to raise cash for improvement works and on-going maintenance costs.Committee chairman Keith Waterson says on-going fundraising, such as a monthly bingo, will help pay for repairs to the hall's ceiling and for a new porch to be built. The new porch will help improve access to improved toilet facilities at the hall.As a one-off fundraiser, The Yetties will be performing a concert in the hall on May 31.Referring to the monthly bingo, which is growing in popularity, Mr Waterhouse said: "It's getting better. We've been running bingos for four to five years and it's been a case of building up a following."It's packed tonight, for the Easter bingo, but normally we get 40 to 50 people.
