In 1976 there were moves to re-open the Axminster to Lyme Regis railway line which, due to funding and land issues were abandoned. To my recollection another scheme was put forward in the 1990s, using energy efficient locomotives. This also appeared to come to nothing. In view of tourist potential, since we have become a World Heritage Site, are any readers aware of future plans for the line?John Spencer69 High Street Honiton
