Coastguards monitor vessel’s progress after problems with its auto helm
Coastguards monitored the progress of a boat across Lyme Bay yesterday (Wednesday).
They were alerted by a number of erratic track changes by the vessel, Caernafon Bay.
The skipper was contacted and reported track changes due to autohelm performance in rough seas, to the south of Lyme Bay.
The vessel’s progress was monitored while on manual helm and it continued its passage to Newlyn with no further issues noted.
