AXE Valley Police officers took part in football and tug of war at a charity event in Branscombe over the weekend.

AXE Valley Police officers took part in football and tug of war at a charity event in Branscombe over the weekend.Nearly £450 was raised to help buy a further defibrillator - a device which detects and adjusts problems in the heart's rhythm - for the village.Five teams took part in the football tournament with PC Steve Speariett taking on his son Sam's team, The Fountain Head, in the finals - with both standing in goal for the penalties. Sam's team won.A tug of war took place throughout the day and money was raised through raffle donations from local businesses and profits from the barbeque.
