Eighteen members of the Lyme Regis/Barfleur Twinning Association enjoyed a French–themed evening dining out at the resort’s Millside Restaurant.

A menu that included boeuf bougignon, crème brulee and baked camembert was accompanied by French music helping to complete the atmosphere.

Several members are
visiting Barfleur from June 17 to 19, with accommodation provided, to help the Barfleurais mark the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

William the Conqueror sailed from Barfleur
with his invasion fleet, and the town is planning a
weekend of colourful
events.

Anyone interested in going should contact association chairman John Dover at jonner_dover@hotmail.com or 07769655362.
