Book readers receive their gold awards

Christopher Parker, seven, Louisa Dare, six, and Chirathi Nanayakkara, nine, have now completed the challenge twice.

Three children went along to Axminster Library to receive their Booktrack Certificates and gold badges after reading 100 books.

They were Christopher Parker, seven, Louisa Dare, six, and Chirathi Nanayakkara, nine, who has now completed the challenge twice.

Laurence Anholt, the popular local children’s author and illustrator, made the presentation and generously gave each of the children a set of prints of his books about artists.

He also kindly donated two of his signed prints to the library which will soon be hung.
