THE WRVS Books on Wheels Service is appealing for more clients in the Honiton area.An army of volunteers are waiting in the wings to make regular deliveries to the housebound and elderly.Even those recuperating from illness or injuries can make use of the service."We want to spread the message that this service is available," said Books on Wheels project manager for Devon Pam Mayall."We offer large print books, CDs and taped books, as well as regular books," she added, pointing out volunteers visit people's homes at a time to suit the service user.In particular, Mrs Mayall wants to ensure the service reaches those who may be struggling to access the mobile library service in rural areas.Contact Honiton Library for further information.
