BOOKS are being donated to Seaton Library by a Christian charity group as part of a national scheme.

BOOKS are being donated to Seaton Library by a Christian charity group as part of a national scheme.Christians Together made the gesture for their Hope 08 - Acts of Kindness initiative and Speaking Volumes scheme, which was founded in 1968 by the Christian Book Promotion Trust. Wendy Powell, from Christians Together in Seaton, said: "I hope that people will be helped by reading about important social issues, adventurous lives and inspiring faith."Local member for Seaton, Councillor Margaret Rogers said: "I greatly appreciate the contribution of these books to Seaton Library. "It's always good to widen the range of books available and I am constantly aware of the excellent cooperation of Christians Together in Seaton."Money for the books in Seaton was raised by collections at the combined church services in Lent.A panel of literary experts from all the major denominations have chosen a variety of books that have been donated to libraries across Britain.
