Despite some appalling weather, a good number of members and friends went along to enjoy a fundraising coffee morning and ploughman’s lunch at Lyme Regis Bowling Club, on Monmouth Beach.

The profit of £246 will be divided between the club defibrillator fund and the ladies’ coach transport fund, to help meet the costs of travelling to the 2016 away league fixtures.

The next bowling club event is an afternoon cream tea, which will be at the clubhouse on Saturday, March 19.

It is open to members and non-members, and details will appear on posters in due course.
